Behind every inspiring project, there is an authentic story. In the case of Lisbon Wine Routes, that story begins with two hearts that share much more than love for each other: they share passions, dreams and a lifestyle focused on meaningful experiences. We are a Portuguese-Brazilian couple, together for over 20 years, united by the constant desire to explore the world, discover new flavours and live moments that will remain etched in our memories. And it was in Lisbon, more precisely in the charming region of Arruda dos Vinhos, that we decided to turn our experiences into inspiration for others.
Our history with wine and wine tourism didn’t come about in a conventional way. We’ve always been passionate about travelling, about sitting at the table and enjoying a good meal accompanied by a special wine. But it was with the decision to live in Portugal, and especially with the purchase of our house in Arruda dos Vinhos, known as the “Enchanted Valley”, that this passion deepened and took on new contours.
Living surrounded by vineyards, watching the changing seasons reflected in the vines, meeting local producers, participating in harvests and commented tastings… All this aroused in us a growing curiosity about the process that turns grapes into wine, and about the world of possibilities that wine tourism offers.

Why we created Lisbon Wine Routes
Lisbon Wine Routes was born out of a desire to share. To share what we’ve experienced, what we’ve learnt, the places we’ve discovered, the people we’ve met and the wines we’ve tasted.
We want to show that wine tourism in Lisbon goes far beyond the most popular routes and the best-known names. There is a wealth hidden in small estates, in villages full of history, in authentic experiences that turn every visit into a unique moment.
We believe that travelling is about more than visiting places; it’s about connecting with cultures, people and flavours. And when that journey passes through a wine region, the experience becomes even more special. That’s why we decided to create a blog that not only recommends destinations, but also tells stories, awakens the senses and inspires new journeys.
Our authentic and personal approach
Each Lisbon Wine Routes article is written based on real experiences. We visit the wineries in person, try the routes, talk to the producers and explore the surroundings. Our gaze is curious and passionate, and that’s what we want to convey: an invitation for you to live these experiences with the same intensity and enchantment that we did.

And this motivates us to show this “Enchanted Valley” and its wonders to the world.
