The history of Adega d’Arrocha is deeply rooted in the agricultural traditions of the Lisbon West region, where vineyards have been cultivated for generations.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the grandparents of today’s family producers started growing grapes in a traditional, artisanal way, producing wine mainly for their own consumption and to share with neighbors and friends.

In the following decades, their children continued the work, expanding the vineyard area and beginning to sell small quantities, while always maintaining the link to tradition.

Today, it is the grandchildren and great-grandchildren who manage Adega d’Arrocha, with the help of the kind and welcoming David Henriques, who has been attentive from the very first contact, and the versatile and charismatic winemaker, Ricardo Oliveira Guimarães. They are committed to modernizing the winemaking process, opening the winery to wine tourism, and preserving local grape varieties—while never losing the warm, family spirit that characterizes the estate.
