style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Quinta do Carneiro<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is located in the municipality of <\/span><b>Alenquer,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> approximately <\/span><b>40 km from Lisbon<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, next to the old <\/span><b>royal road between Carregado and Coimbra.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The property was named after its former owner, the 4th Count of Lumiares, Carneiro e Sousa, who was also president of Portugal&#8217;s council of ministers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Between the 18th and 19th centuries, the estate was dedicated to the production of table and wine grapes. In 1984, Sociedade Agr\u00edcola do Carneiro S.A. was set up, planting new vineyards with the aim of producing and bottling wine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today, Quinta do Carneiro offers wine tourism experiences, including <\/span><b>guided tours<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>wine tastings<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
